Christina Aguilera has rejected a song that was to be included on her new album because it was written by Britney Spears.

The song was dropped when she realised that the name being used by the writer, Aurira Lynne, was actually a pseudonym used by Spears.

A source close to the star has been quoted by Ananova as saying: "Christina wasn't too happy to discover it had been penned by her arch rival."
